Getting started with D.R.I.V.E. is as simple as 1-2-3! Get ready to jump right in by following the directions below!


1. Complete and return the D.R.I.V.E. registration form
We will need some basic information about you so we’ll know how to contact you and your parents regarding D.R.I.V.E. events and activities. Simple enough, right?


2. Register for the D.R.I.V.E. message boards
To register, simply visit the D.R.I.V.E. website, www.ABQTeenDrive.com, and click on “Forums” on the left side of the page. When the D.R.I.V.E. forums load, click on “Register” and then fill out the form and submit it. This will also give you access to the D.R.I.V.E. calendar where we will post all of our upcoming activities. It’s also where you can post your thoughts, feelings, ideas, jokes, etc.

With the exception of the section “What is D.R.I.V.E.?”, all forums as well as the calendar are accessible by registered D.R.I.V.E. members only for your protection. Parents and teens are welcome to sign up for the forums separately if they desire as there are some areas specifically for teens and others for parents.

Now that you are registered for the forums, how about taking just a moment and posting an introduction under “Say Hello”. To do this, click on the “new topic” button once you have entered the “Say Hello” forum. Tell us who you are and a little bit about you.

Although the forums are restricted to members only, please always use only your first name (never include your last name or physical address) when posting either a new thread or a response to an existing thread. Since everyone will have a different user name, we should be able to easily differentiate between members who may have the same first name, but if you wish, you can also include the first letter of your last name.


3. Attend a D.R.I.V.E. event or activity
Now that you have registered for the group and the message boards, it’s time to do what you have been waiting for all along- attend a D.R.I.V.E. event or activity! Get to know the other teens in the group and have a great time, whether it is at a social event or a community service project!
